The Charlotte, NC region is home to many seasonal annual festivals and special events.

The Yiasou Greek Festival is a Greek Festival has become one of Charlotte's largest cultural events. The Yiasou (the Greek word for Hello, Goodbye and Cheers) Greek Festival features authentic Greek cuisine and homemade pastries, entertainment, live music and dancing.

Taste of Charlotte is a three-day festival offering samples from local area restaurants, live entertainment and children's activities. Located in Uptown, Taste of Charlotte spans six city blocks.

Charlotte, NC has the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market where you can find local farmers selling their produce

The Carolina Renaissance Festival operates on Saturdays and Sundays each October and November. Located near Concord, NC the Carolina Renaissance Festival is one of the largest renaissance events in the country.

Sports

Charlotte, NC is home to many professional, collegiate and high school athletic programs.

The Charlotte 49ers represent the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. The university has 19 varsity athletic teams, such as baseball, basketball, football and soccer.

Queens Royals represent Queens University of Charlotte, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their varsity sports are swimming and diving and volleyball.
